Non-existent nylon shapes
Be careful of nylon bags that don't actually resemble shapes Kate Spade has ever used. Memorize the shapes that are available on the Basic nylon collection page. I try to update that regularly. Generally, though, you can just look at an oddly shaped bag and tell that it's not real. For example, these bags -- there is no small square nylon messenger or tapered tote with outer zipper pocket. Also, note the odd metal zippers on the first bag. KS herself uses plain YKK zippers on her basic nylon bags. |
